Sinu Kamala, a media professional in the city, was bogged down with work and had little else to do till a couple of months ago. Then, she decided to experiment with trekking. After several treks, Kamala now declares herself as a real survivalist. For Kamala and her friends, trekking is not just a pastime. It has helped them explore places -- remote villages to hillocks outside the city -- where they would have never gone but for the activity.
